Healing

Alchemy has always been a fascinating concept. Not only for the gold-providing element of the legendary lapis philosophorum, but also for its healing capabilities. These are quite handy for a monster hunter. My great-uncle Tiberius in particular had a great recipe for one.

A ravaging Troll with a rather bad temper was terrorising a small town near where the Family lived, and my great-uncle was commissioned to get rid of it. It took him a few hours to find it, but when he did, he first tried talking (always a good idea to try first). During the conversation however they reached an impasse. Growling the Troll picked him up and bit off his whole head. Through quick thinking my great-uncle quickly swallowed a vial of the potion he had in his pocket and instantly regenerated his head. After this it was an easy battle for him, and the Troll fell quickly. The people in the town were very happy and paid his salary with nary a frown.

A wonderful piece of family history, although we are still puzzled how great-uncle Tiberius managed to actually drink this potion without a head...
